The whole chain of production from farm to fabric is organic and every stage is monitored, accredited and certified by the Soil Association and complies with the Global Organic Textile Standard.

Made by a British firm that has lasted six generations, Ian Mankin are leading the way in weaving high quality certified organic furnishing fabrics at their own mill in the UK.

The organic cotton is grown in Syria and the linen is from Holland. The fibre comes from farms where no synthetic chemical pesticides, herbicides and fertilizers have been used for at least three years. No toxic chemicals have been used in the processing and manufacturing of the cotton or linen and the dyes are specially selected to comply with organic certification. The fabrics are woven in the UK at a mill in Lancashire which is one of the few cotton mills that has Soil Association Certification.
